Darkslay Family: Destiny Emerald
Mini Strategy Guide
Having trouble finding your way through the Tomb? The guide below will help you find the first and second Emerald Shards.
Character Tips
Rokas is a good starting character and always useful against shooting enemies. However, his attack may prove ineffective in later rooms with swarming monsters.
|
Sometimes it is not necessary to kill all the monsters in a room. Lilith can slip past enemies once you equip her with the right tool.
|
The parents Zem and Maya may not be as useful in the beginning of the game. Once you find their secondary weapons though, their firepower goes to a whole different level.

General Tips
Use the right person for the job.
If you are having trouble getting past an area, try approaching it with another family member. Some rooms are much easier if you use the right person. Of course, sometimes you might not have that option.
Always buy Potions and Portraits.
It is always a good idea to buy POTIONS to heal yourself and a FAMILY PORTRAIT which can take you back to base camp anytime. You can find both in the goblin shop at base camp.
When the going gets tough, get more tools.
As the Darkslays progress deeper into the Tomb, the rooms will get progressively harder. Remember some shops that you passed by but may have skipped out on buying all the items? Consider getting more gems and buying them later.
Double back for more hearts.
Some items or heart containers can only be obtained later in the game when you have access to new tools. Consider revisiting explored areas to uncover new secrets.
Save and Reload.
Old school players looking for a challenge may not want to do this. When you encounter a room that consistently knocks you out, you may want to consider saving just outside that room for quick replays.
